I've been listening to these Rock covers of Carrie's all afternoon and I think I've got it figured out what everyone's bitch is with them: She sounds too much like the original singers. She positively NAILS every nuance of the original, which sometimes sound pretty bad when compared to the natural perfection of her "normal" singing voice. It's NOT that Carrie can't do justice to all these covers, it's that the original singers can't do justice to her voice.That and hard-line fans HATE admitting ANYBODY can sound as good (let alone BETTER) than their heroes! That's life! Deal with it! And if you don't like what I had to say, save it! I won't be reading any loud-mouth comments hating on my girl! Sorry!

Exactly. Carrie has an incredible voice, but she just doesn't do this song as well as Bryan Adams. Though I do admit to having a prejudice against covers in general

Right, this is one of the big criticisms when she was on idol... "Rocker Carrie" wasn't good. She tries and her voice is great but cannot do rock.
