Well, Carrie's voice is much more powerful than Martina McBride. I respect Martina but she's no Carrie Underwood. Carrie is better!

Carrie is an awesome singer in her own right, but no one in country music history can touch McBride's voice. Melodically, thematically, vocally, she has more power, control, breath support, and raw conviction on stage than anyone else I have seen live. Carrie cannot hit the notes higher, and McBride sings with good technique, you are supposed to open your jaw (saying this in regard to a stupid comment on here) when you perform high notes. If you do not, you then sing through your nose and it has more nasal sounding tones, plus you're not using your diaphram. Carrie is awesome, but like everyone else, she cannot touch Martina.
