Anorexia Nervosa is a more complex disease than we might think; and Karen is not an ordinary individual. IMHO Karen's condition was more than psychological. Kinda like trying to figure out why Jim Morrison would drink himself to death. I also don't think she really understood what was happening to her, it just happened.

The Carpenters got me also in my teen yrs, and now many yrs hence, am falling (in a big way) back into their beautiful music. I never before realized how talented the actually were (in the studio or live). Karen does have a very beautiful soul, that's why she had to go back home too soon (for us anyways).

Words can't explain how much I love The Carpenters. I've known of them my whole life, but they really hit me back in April of this year, now I can't get enough of them. Karen and Richard have inspired me, and most of all changed who I am. She had such a beautiful soul, absolutely beautiful, Karen sung like an angel and Richard played his piano to perfection. I feel like crying every time I realise how much they have shaped me, and I'm only 15 years old. The Carpenters will always be apart of me.
