She came from Thurnscoe, as did my Mum. When this was on one of the record review shows (may have been Juke Box Jury) Shirley Bassey was one of the judges. All she had to say was, 'She comes from nowhere, and is going nowhere.' Thurnscoe folk were alienated by that. Bit rich for her to look down on people because of their origins. At least Thurnscoe is more somewhere than Africa.
