There is beauty in your singing. Do keep singing. What you are doing can stand on its own merits. Though I am a musician, I am not an expert on Opera. If there are suggestions to be made, they should be made with a constructive and supportive attitude, out of respect for what is lovely in what you are doing and your sincerity. If suggestions are made with some other attitude, then take it that while there may be something useful (or not) there is something else going on that is not a response to what you have offered. Do not be discouraged. And though some of the comments may have hurt, keep singing. You have something lovely to offer. Be strong and believe in that.8 years ago

Dear Miss Roper -- You have a lovely voice. I agree with those who found your pronunciation a bit too un-Italian, but I question why they feel the need to be so rude. nice voice, but yikes that tone is cringe worthy, use tall vowels and your head voice for those high notes!!!! It's an Italian aria, not a britney spears song. With some she could really make this sound ten times better.9 years ago
