"That's the way I've always heard it should be" was like a line taken out of mine and I'm sure thousand's of kids homes in the late 60's early 70's. I was very young then but my dad was messed up by the war and my mom just tried to keep it all together and "fake" it for suburbia. They both did really. Carly has always been singing it SO REAL ever since I can remember.
