Incredible voice. I keep listening to his recordings of Verdi arias almost every day. berganzi, Del monaco. what voices! More are coming and some are already here singing with voices that are incomporably gorgeous. But, these singers, with whom I grew up, are the par exemplars by whom all other tenors are judged. i miss them all but, I look forward to all the others waiting in the wings.

Bergonzi was made to sing recital pieces such as this. He didn't really have that much on top, but the benevolence of his middle voice and the gorgeous flow of legato were truly great.
