Either it was his brother or partner. I can't remember. I think Sam was in it for the money. Narvel Felts may know he was with Sun records in the fifties.

I liked Elvis's version better. More Rock, less Rockabilly.

I didn't know he had a brother, but who ever listens to their brother. Selling Elvis to RCA was as bad as the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees.

No but a lot of artist said his brother wanted to keep Elvis. And thought other sun artist weren't use right.

I think his brother should have ran Sun records. He was a better businessman.

It was probably Sam Phillps that stopped him from getting bigger. Every "Big" artist Sun records ever had, left. Howlin' Wolf, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, B.B. King, James Cotton, Rufus Thomas, Ike Turner. Carl was out performing only a Month after the car wreck. He should have left Sun records like every body else. Sam had an eye for discovering talent but the business side of the record business eluded him. Perkins left Sun in 58, to late by then
