I agree on this, and I might add I find Dan Mumm sounds like he kinda plays in a hurry, or maybe is it the echo that's too long and can't keep up with the speed. On the other hand, the recording you link to is of a so incredibly bad sound quality, not to mention the positively awful chair squeakeing sound, that it does cast some doubt on your ability to judge some piece of art. The guitarist doesn't seem bad but would I have a little brother, he'd make a cleaner recording than his.
