Oh, I didn't know you're speaking on my behalf now? How strange..cause I don't believe I said "No skilled guitarist sits down". Whoever that is, that's his style. But I guarantee he could play without looking or behind his head if he wanted to. When you're learning guitar, and you sit your ass down, it IS bad habit. There's instances of people who play well but then try playing for a Talent Show in a band, for an audience, and they can't adapt to it. You need to practice in diff posture
