I love the talent and lyrics these cats spit, and it's great they are using their gift for God, but we have to be careful not to look to much like the world. Even as we are reaching the world, we have to make sure we are careful in entertaining the world. There is too much itching of the ears these days for us to be presenting ourselves watered down. Just because somebody mentions Jesus or God doesn't mean they are Christ centered. There have been several secular artists who mention God in their music but are nowhere near Christian. Just because a song is positive doesn't mean God is approving. There are several conscious rappers who are positive that don't even believe in Jesus and claim the black man is God. We cannot be deceived by the enemy. He is very cunning and deceiving. He even uses or works through the influence of some of our favorite Christian musicians. And this can happen when man goes off of their own understanding and ways and not God's. Not knocking these bros, but again we must be careful not to imitate the world to the point we look like them, and ppl can't see a distinct difference. In all things we must pray for these artists because they are under much pressure.
