This has always been a favorite. Blind Al understood so much better than almost all the musicians of his generation that blues is a living thing. Learn from the masters and then use it to express what's happening in your life, use that structure to say what you need to say your way. Don't imitate the records, be honest. He was a really, really fine musician.

Al thought a Coricidin (glass back then) bottle was perfect, weight- and tone-wise, I've heard. Whether he's using one here or not, who knows.

Great number that reminds me one of Peter Green solo song while the other guitar player broke a string ! Alan Wilson is one of the rarest performer to capture the essence of low down blues !

Alan Wilson was one of the very few players who played and sounded like the old bluesmen way before his time. Not only that his voice is absolutely haunting, the first time I heard him play and sing I thought he was black. His death was a tragic loss to the music world. But in his short life his accomplishments are incredible. Alan wasn't just a master blues guitarist, he WAS the blues and it came through him. He was also a troubled soul who wanted to rest so he left us. Rest In Peace Alan.
