Ok, story time. (Not made up though...)Back in the 80's I lived in a town in south Sweden, called Ronneby. (Same place Marcolin comes from.)One day I went to visit a friend of mine who whas rather good at bending them strings. (Guitar. He was playing the guitar.)When I got out of my car I heard rock music coming from the open window of his tiny apartment. Guitar and vocals to be precise.I went up the stairs and knocked on his door, and when he let me in, he was playing the guitar rather loudly (as he should) and next to him was Eddie Marcolin (later known as "Messiah"), singing *without amplification*, but still keeping up with the guitar sound.DAMN he's got vocal resources!Not long after that (perhaps a year?) He joined Candlemass.I actually think I saw/heard him once before that though, without knowing who it was.There was a band called SOUNDS (Possibly with KISS style on the S letters) playing at some youth club, and the drummer/vocalist was rather impressive. Intense double bass drums and powerful vocals at the same time, I was in awe...When I think back, I actually think that was Marcolin... at least it fits the profile. :PEnd of story.9 years ago
