I don't mind japanese dubs. However, I prefer English dubs just because I can understand which character is speaking easier and because I don't have to read what the characters are saying. If I have to read what the characters are saying then I might get confused, especially if I can't read fast enough.

I don't mind most eng dubs, it is just because i like to focus on the show, not reading. That and the female voices in japanese are often too... they try to be too cute.

Well it depends. It's not that one is always better than the other, but for canaan I really do like the japanese version better. For me, it's really up to how well it was dubbed. The english version of cannan seemed really obvious to me how their lips were not moving with the words; but for some animes that's not the case. It just depends.
