Hubbard St.! Such memories of that place, even through all the Meister Brau. So young and it seemed as if there was all the time in the world to live and love, now it passes away, falling flower-like to the earth.

The electric studio version is better but I still like this. CVB had a boatload of great songs.

I agree, and yet at the same time, they've always been of NO time, which is even better.

SO GOOD! My favourite song about 17/18 haven't heard it for YEARS!!! Thanks so much for posting it. It seemed to be exactly the way I felt in those days, and yet so optimistic (Actually, everything's still pretty much up in the air 20 years later). CVB are one of only two bands I have ever seen in concert, the other one being Violent Femmes, I really couldn't be bothered getting off my arse to see anyone else. Is it just my nostalgia or has their music really just not dated at all?

That IS a great song - so simple but so melodic and well, cool! One of my favorites of theirs. I saw Camper in 1988 or so - just before they broke up; they were backing up Dire Straits and only played for 45 minutes - great though.

Frank Funaro is on the drums. Anthony Guess lives in Seattle so David invited him up from the audience to sing on the one song.

Oh! I thought he was sitting in on drums. Thanks.

That's Anthony Guess, one of the original CVB members. He played drums on many (not all) of the songs on the first album.

Who is that singing? I'm an old Box o Laffs fan. God I wonder if any of that band got on videotape.
