Let's see...they came out around the same time and, yeah, there are similarities (synth based), BUT they each have their own style and delivery. Though if I were to compare "flagship songs" between the two like say...Great Commandment vs. Enjoy The Silence...Great Commandment wins. But hey, that's just my opinion.Also, I think many people are calling them DM wannabes because DM reached overseas first while Camouflage stayed mostly in the European market. Sadly, most of us poor Yanks and Canadians only pay heed to what's considered "big" here in the North American market (which the Recording Industry and media moguls manipulated with a heavy hand back in the 80s and 90s...and some still do, but the internet has kind of broken their grip).But hey, that's just my lame take on things.
