Fantastic early 80's new wave song from a great band from Memphis, TN. X-Tracked Records. Calculated X are: Bobby Bowie, Alan Hayes, Kye Kennedy, Chuck Spencer, David Umsted. (Chuck's wife Cindy was my hair-stylist back then...she saw me thru many funky 80's do's and don'ts).

I went to school with Bobby Bowie (lead singer/bassist). He was a few years older than I was at the time. His father was the superintendent of the school (Harding Academy). Calculated X played in the school auditorium for the students one year. Everyone loved them and we were all so proud. RIP

Native Memphian too...nothing beats this song in the car going to Peaches or Pop Tunes and using your Rock 103 ROCKcard.....that was like gold to me as a 5th or 6th grader...had the card, every possible walrus bumper sticker and dont even THINK of messing up my Rock103 Tshirt!!!! LOL

This was a great band.. saw them at Confetti's in the Clark Tower. Kye Kennedy was amazed when I asked him for his autograph.

Wow, this is so Cool ! Saw these guys several times in 83 from Memphis to Jackson up to DSCC in Dyersburg. Still have the album AND T-shirt (although my teenage daughter has pulled it out of storage-retirement and taken it over). Thanks for the memories !

I saw them play in Memphis quite a few times during '82 & '83. They were a fun band and a bunch of nice guys. I even saw Iggy Pop sing 'Johnny B Goode' with them one night. Iggy had just finished a concert at Madison House and then and his entourage went across the street to a club where Calculated X was playing. There couldn't have been more than 25 people in the place.

They will be performing in Memphis at Club Nocturnal this Saturday night. They are filming a documentary on The Antenna Club all weekend.

I saw them at the US Naval base in Millington 1983. They gave a mini concert in the Enlisted Club where I was working at my first job. Dream Affair is my favorite in fact the only one I know until this was posted.

Dr. Dave was my childhood dentist! He kinda looked like a young William Hurt.
