I LOVE this song more than any other praise song. It feels true. I cant stand many other praise and worship songs because they sound so monotonous and repetitive. When listening to a praise and worship song you can almost always count on hearing the words "I will worship you" repeated continually or something much like that.

I immediately go into a worship posture when listening to this song. It's impossible to truly worship God if you don't delight in Him. If there is one word that epitomizes true worship, it would be delight

It's so simple. We are broken and He is our Healer. Thank You Father.

This song sends chills down my spine not only because of the message, but the vocals and instruments :)

This song returns me to wonderful memories in college, heart full with God and spirit and with delight in the Word. May all come to know how that feels. :)

Actually the real answer is far more complex. It starts with an evolved human tendancy towards Patternicity. We are premiculous teleologists and embue these patterns with Agenticity. In otherwords our minds are naturually biased towrds seeing god(s). On top of this is our evolved tendancy to defer to authority figures and the fact that we train our kids from the earliest possible moments to believe in a god. This then makes it hard to conduct the critical thinking see the godless reality.

the spirit of man connects to the Greater Spirit of God, which is the reason why you prayed under tremendous personal pressure regardless of your belief.

Interesting. I was an Apethy-ist (didn't care about religion) but then on operations in Iraq I felt under tremendous personal pressure so I prayed for the first time in years. It did not help and it was a focus on my professional duties that saw me through. I was surprised at why I prayed so I set about researching: is there a God, where do morals come from, why do intelligent educated people believe... After over 6 years work I am a convinced Atheist, but I continue to study and learn. Peace

have to die ont the cross, couldn't he have made a perfect world. Well he could have I suppose but that isn't the world that we find ourselves in, we find ourselves in a fucked up world in the words of bono in his song wake up dead man. We find ourselves alone in it far too often and the cross just makes sense to a person who is truly floundering in this world and trying and doesn't have the comfortable perspective of judging God or trying to. Someday faith will become sight I'm sure of that

if you ask God will reveal himself to you supernaturally. jesus said if you seek you will find. You will find I trust if you seek. Ive tried Buddhism even prayed to allah but I just feel Jesus' love and find the story a love story. You know a famous writer Jim Harrison wrote the resurrection of Christ is less absurd than the republican party so I see God's love in the miracles Jesus performed and in his death on the cross. people find it bloody and grotesque and ask the question why did he

Yeah no problem. Well I was brought up believing in the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, the God of King David and in beliving in Jesus. My mother basically told me abou thte fiath and I was never forced to believe anything but I felt her love and it made the faith so attractive to me. Basically since childhood ive believed, ive never really thought about believing in other God's. A mother's love truly really helps. You know ive seen some pretty supernatural things in my adult life and maybe

Thank you Murl. I had forgotten all about this thread. If you'd like to pick up the thread, when you looked at all the possible Gods to chose from, why did you pick the Christian one? What was it about the other Gods that made you think they were false?
