Cab Calloway - Bugle Call Rag

Almer Schoebel, Billy Meyers and Jack Pettis' 'Bugle Call Rag' is best known as an instrumental swing classic; Cab adds a vocal chorus to the tune on his version of September 23, 1931. A fine, functional arrangement by Walter "Foots" Thomas brilliantly features trumpeters Edwin Swayzee and Reuben Reeves. Swayzee is the muted trumpet I believe. Further solos are provided by Foots Thomas on alto sax and Arville Harris on the clarinet.
