Why isn't the right title being used? Song is called: Why She's A Girl From The Chainstore. Fantastic output by the way!!

This is one of Steve Diggles best contributions to the Buzzcocks, his lyrics are more hard hitting and socio/ political than those from Pete Shelley which is not necessarily a bad thing as you get the diversity without losing the trademark Buzzcocks sound. Buzzcocks are still as good today as ever. And in this video Steve Diggles dad dance at 0.55 is worth watching again and again!

Yes its Linder on the till, filmed in Lewis's in Manchester, now Primark over 2 or 3 sessions. The lights fused the electrics, so the tills wouldn't work. The management company were very sweet about it all though. Directed by Howard Walmsley (Biting Tongues) camera and edit by Bob Jones and Howard at Rabid Records HQ. Probably only shown on US campus TV at the time. U matic recording. The band still strong, original line up with Howard Devoto, John and Paddy M/c and London May 25th and 26th.

Bobgure : It's Howard Thompson, the guy who records the live of Suicide in '77, who produced Pulse and We love you (if the singles are the same as LP). But the major part of the first Furs LP it's Steve Lilywhite. 3 tracks are produced by Thompson, and 2 tracks (only on original US version, but now on CD) are produced by Hannett.

Another great diggle's song. And here it's Martin Hannett the producer, he added the synth and some strange effects and reverb, like some early joy division songs, few Psychedelic furs songs etc.. It's so sad the buzzcocks splited at this time. I think it wasn't a bad period for them. And they had new materials and direction. But too much tours, drugs, and rock business made the end. The final song from this time is 'I look alone' and it is my favorite
