Lyrics:

Could have carried us farther

Mired only by ourselves

Horizon glowed in morning

Through vile was our resolve

A promise to betray

A betrayal to remember

Where the wave broke

And flushed us back

Back into the sea

Would have brought a haven

Sadness, that bitter failure

Night's embrace was colder

As the stars lit

One by one

A memory rejected

Rejection was the promise

Should have gazed beyond

Ashen clouds that covered

Saw us huddle

Fearing

That bloated bastard sunrise

Please tell me why burst are no longer together? They could have gone on to be one of the greatest.I am upset about this dammit! Create one of my favourite masterpieces of all time and then just dis-band! Everytime I listen to LB I have to go through this turmoil. These guys hurt me but I still love them!

Does any1 know what do these people do nowadays?

you do realize that neurosis is highly influential to alot of bands, and having a similiar vocal style doesnt make it a ripoff, otherwise 99% bands are ripoffs of other bands.

Always loved the sound. You have always brought me back. I like the energy and the pure functionality if it. If more people actually poured there hearts in and did not care about the political/Garbage they take in. We as a collective would be a better being.... Thanks

theyre alright. just above average metalcore yell. not saying i don't love the band, one of my favorites. Just needs a better balance of scream/clean(theyre very close, I said before I really like them)

I say Neurosis/Mastodon/Horse the Band

This is like a total Neurosis/Mastodon/Rush mashup haha.

On this album they are mixed very high, it's a beast of a record either way but I had to get used to the levels. The album Lazarus Bird is produced much better, pretty incredible album if you like the whole prog/post metal thing.

I saw Linus singing for LashOut in Norway last year. Did a fantastic job. Keep on screaming :)

Serpico's Beard

Mint song from a great album! I always thought this songs needs to be about another 5 minutes longer to really capitalise on it's epicness!

@EmaDaCuz Yeah. It's about Mieszko Talarczyk, the singer of Nasum who died in the 2004 tsunami.

@skateordie431 Yeah, I noticed that too. It's somewhat obnoxious. Kinda made me laugh haha If the screaming was more toned down and controlled, it might have sounded a bit more fluid in my opinion. But hell... maybe some people enjoy this.

They're alright, but does anyone else think the screamed vocals are wayyy too present? They're so loud and a lot clearer than the rest of the recording. And it doesn't help that they're that harsh. It would be fine if they blended in with the rest of the band more.
