You may not have seen this when it came out a good 15 years ago. You need to watch this. It's about homelessness. It's often easy to judge, but maybe not as easy after seeing this video. Excellent cinematography, brilliant editing, Tom Wilson is scary-good and Sarah McLachlan in the b/g vocals...haunting!

Enjoy, and think. This video taped from MM, Belongs to Epic/Sony

Wow, great song! I have not heard this since 1996? I'm surprised it has not had more recognition over the years. What a combination, Sarah and Tom! I wish they did more together!

Both when MuchMusic and mainstream "alternative" music bloody well meant something. Where did the heart & soul go? Why are we as a society not collectively striving for thought-provoking music any more?

It's so real, and so disturbing that we can see similar scenes today. In it's own way it's beautiful. Haunting, that's for sure!

@cmoss48 This video also had a big impact on me. You see homeless people in the city, you wonder how they got there; we don't know. A string of bad luck or bad judgement, maybe no family support, or family tired of bailing you out; maybe some mental issues as well. It makes you think, that's for sure.

It just goes to show that videos are only popular if they air often or long enough. I think this is an overlooked gem. Thanks for your appreciation VeronikRosa. Oh, and looking pretty always helps, but life isn't always pretty.

I had heard the recording years ago but never saw the video. It is a poignant haunting melody with words that pierce the heart & make one think but for the Grace of God there go I. Thankyou for sharing this.
