I hadn't thought about this song in years; decades, maybe.My dad had this record. Hearing it now I'm propelled back 50 years.We never figured out how to be comfortable together; though, when I occasionally sift through my memories - and because I've been a father myself for thirty years - I can now discern the times he tried to reach across the distance. He's been gone nearly 38 years; I was just 19. It's a pity life offers no do-overs.

Thank You so much for posting this song. I've been looking for it for so long. My Mom who will be 90 this month used to sing it. She had four girls and FIVE boys and she had us four girls first. Needless to say!!! her boys were very special. You have given us all a wonderful gift. She is soooo happy.
