Well that's what makes it rockabilly now isn't it, there are no laws. Awesome performance, Eddie would've been proud.

I didn't catch Setzer's last tour of Europe, but he always plays (too) long guitar solos live, doesn't he...? ;-) Yes you're right he play too much lead guitar parts

Agree to disagree? :-) The Town Hall Party was a TV show, and the song was just 4 or 5 months old. Eddie also performed the song in the UK just before he died, without a guitar solo. But my point was that after his death, he has become such a guitar hero that he PROBABLY would have added more guitar solos to his live shows, if he had lived to see the status he achieved. I didn't catch Setzer's last tour of Europe, but he always plays (too) long guitar solos live, doesn't he...? ;-)

i'm not sure than eddie will add a lead part on this song. Look at his town hall party performance. At last i'm a big fan of Brian Setzer but he had a problem when he play live. He add too long an steril lead guitar parts on his own material. I've seen Brian in 2011 in Paris and his performance (rockabilly riot) was the worst rock 'n' roll performance i've never seen (except chuck berry of course)

Well, without a solo it would just be a little more than 2 minutes long, wouldn't it...? Which was nice for a hit single in 1958, but kinda short in a live situation. And if Eddie had lived to see what a guitar hero he became, I'm sure he would've added a guitar solo in his live versions... :-)

very good job. One remark. Why a lead part on this one ? it's like Summertime blues. These 2 songs are excellent without any lead guitar part.
