Crime comes because people are in need. Need breeds greed. He is saying that if the government would deal with the poverty then the crime rates would go down. He is right. Many socialist countries who take care of their people have low crime rates. Think about it. It is also about the reckless and blatant Government spending...allowing the weapons in the country...getting rich off of the poor...allowing big business like the huge resorts to go unchecked and unbalanced. I am a Canadian married to a Jamaican. I lived there. I saw it first hand. It is mind blowing at how corrupt your government is. It is appalling that the other nations of the world have not said anything. You hear all the time about helping Haiti for instance but your government LIES to the rest of the world. No one should have to steal to eat. No one should have to die from lack of medical attention or be illiterate because the government charges so much to allow the children to learn. Yet they live in huge houses and drive expensive cars...go on stupidly expensive holidays and imprison your people. I can't imagine having to get a visa to leave my country. I am free. I live in a country that is free. Jamaican people are in jail and captive because of the government there. Shame on them. The rich get richer and the poor poorer and the crime increases because what your government is spending money to do is line their own pockets with cash. FIGHT POVERTY. DEMAND JUSTICE. TAKE YOUR GOVERNMENT OUT. It is KILLING JAMAICA.

Good tune. But malawi and many other african countries are poorer than jamaica yet their crime and murder rate is much lower. Why is that? Can't be done to poverty alone.
