They were much better that Dinosuar Jr., IMHO. They could write songs with melodies and emotional content as well as do the noisy-guitar thing.

@starkweather444 emotive... in the original sense, the term was applied to mid 80's melodic punk bands such as rites of spring and squirrel bait, who had singers with particularly passionate and heartfelt deliveries... not sure what emo means these days, prob many things... the jet black greased hair look with long side fringe??

@pusikurcevic yes I know, i was talking about original emo, like rites of spring and fugazi, also squirrel bait. wow you have the vinyl, awesome, is it the beggars banquet release? didn't know mascis solo on impossible, cool. impossible is possibly my fave track on the album. saw bt a couple of times in the early 90's here in oz, they were great live. cheers.
