Formed in 1967, their original line-up consisted of Burke Shelley (b. John Burke Shelley, 10 April 1947, Tiger Bay, Cardiff, South Glamorgan, Wales) on bass guitar and vocals, Tony Bourge (b. Anthony James Bourge, 24 November 1948, Tiger Bay, Cardiff, South Glamorgan, South Wales) (guitar, vocals), and Ray Phillips (b. Raymond John Phillips, 1 March 1949, Tiger Bay, Cardiff, South Glamorgan, South Wales (drums).[1] Budgie is often considered as one of the first heavy metal bands, with fast, heavy music (an influence on NWOBHM and even such acts as Metallica) being played as early as 1973, even before bands like Judas Priest. Notable Budgie songs include "Breadfan", "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" and "Napolean Bona-Parts 1 & 2".

This was the kind of music coming out of the garages in Topanga Canyon, California, before anybody knew there was any other kind of music! And did we get in a lot of trouble in those days! Warped ur brain forever...

i'm thinking this song is a brother of Highway Star. Doesn't modulate as much, but same drive, driving energy

Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest and all the rest went to school, studying Budgie(!) - and so on and so forth... The rest, in actuality, is history.

Are you stupid or troll? Iron Maiden's album "Powerslave" was released in 1983, Budgie's EP "If Swallowed, Do Not Induce Vomiting" was released in 1980, which is 3 years earlier. What are you going to tell us next? That Thin Lizzy stole "Whiskey in the Jar" from Metallica?
