To everyone wondering if this is Buddy Holly... YES & NO is the correct answers. It's the real Buddy singing Peggy Sue, it is NOT the real Buddy Holly in the picture. In fact, it is a Buddy tribute artist by the name of John Mueller. One of the best Buddy tribute artists out there and the only tribute artist endorsed by the Buddy Holly estate, the Valens estate and the Richardson estate for his production of the John Mueller's Winter Dance Party (tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & The Big Bopper) Trust me, I know John and I know his show. This is John in the photo, but put to the original Buddy Holly recording of Peggy Sue. John's tribute photos as Buddy are used frequently for different Buddy stuff.

i'm 16, and it makes me so sad to know that most people my age have no idea who buddy holly is or about any other pop/rock music legends. their favorite artists today wouldn't exist if it weren't for them. the people who grew up with this are growing old and passing away, and each new generation is less and less informed about some really great music. we're all we have left. i do like a number of modern artists, but older music keeps me going.i'll be 65 years old listening to stuff like this while the oldies radio stations will be playing one direction

Damn, it's been 59 years since buddy holly died. I'm so glad I was born in the 80's and was raised on nirvana, chili peppers, pearl jam, Alice in chains, STP, etc etc. This damn 50's music sucks, it's so simple and nerdy, but I have a huge appreciation for it.

To all the sods saying "that isn't Buddy in that picture!" Consider this: Buddy's career only lasted about three or four years, most of it traveling. How frequent would a photoshoot be? A year or two, if the bloke even wanted to take a picture. So, you can imagine that genuine Buddy material is scarce.
