My Mother was going out with "Buck Owens" at the time of "Don Rich's" tragic motor cycle accident, (July 17th, 1974) on his way to "Morro Bay Beach" Ca. The Band had just gotten off tour and they were back in BakersField, Ca, where they lived and also to drop off the camper with all the equipment in it. Don then got on his motor cycle and headed down "Morro Bay Beach" where his family was vacationing. ***He did most of the driving of the camper and was in charge of making sure the equipment was safe. Don really wanted to see his family after touring. ***Paulette Whittington: "I't was really hard on Buck, He told her" - "It was like losing his right arm"-Buck Owens

Well the thing is, that we all have a different taste. I'm a big fan of Bakersfield country, and always will be. They sure did know how to sing it back in the day...I was born in the wrong time.

A Beatles magazine brought me Here. It may have sounded good to them back in the day but for me it sounds horrific, though I can see how "I'm a loser " was inspired with its sad lyrics, that's about the only compliment I can give this chap,sorry...

Usually this one is played too fast. That's the one with the right tempo.

If you stripped out everything that is wrong with country music what you have left would be Buck Owens and the buckaroos. Buck and Don were the ultimate team.
