With all respect to Michael Duggan, this song was co-written by Lee Ross and Johnny Lee Wills, who was Bob Wills' brother, I believe. It was NOT written by Bob Wills. When Lee Ross was a disk jockey on KFOX 1280 AM in Long Beach, California back in the 60's, I vaguely remember him saying he and Johnny Lee were sitting in a nightclub in Rubidoux, California (near Riverside, CA) and heard some gal walking off the dance floor turn around and say to her date, "boy, my shoes keep walking back to you." They immediately jumped on the title. The original words have since been changed to what Buck sings here due to Ray Price's popular version, but I like the original words better. Either way, it's a classic, and thanks for the posting.

Buck Owens & The Buckaroos recorded this in 1973 for use on Hee Haw.On TV only the music was used and Buck & Don Rich sang it live to the pre-recorded backings. But a vocal track was sung by Buck in the recording studio.18 of these tracks is on the cd "Honky Tonk Man-Buck sings Country Classics"

Much younger Buck. I believe a Harlan Howard song? Goes back to the 50's with Ray price so perhaps HH did write it. This was Buck prior to the infusion of the Bakersfield transition. Still great listening
