My parents were acquainted with Buck way back then. My mom even bought Ralph Mooney's steel guitar and took that up as her main instrument for the next twenty or so years. She and my dad wrote a few songs that ended up as singles. One she wrote and I remember them singing, probably when I was still in my crib in the next room, was titled "Mirror, mirror". My mom said they played it for Buck. She was very disheartened when she later heard Buck's recording with similar lyrics. Not saying Buck stole her song, but curious which lines were his and which were from Don Rollins.

This song was written by Phoenix, Arizona songwriter Don Rollins.....Buck changed a couple of words and Rollins agreed to take half writers credit and Buck released it as MIRROR, MIRROR on the wall on a 1962 album. (Your'e for Me)

Sounds like Ralph "Moon" Mooney on pedal steel guitar.....along with his unique style.
