I think Jerry was very smart in hiring a new singer who sounds very much like Layne, and also, in keeping the sound of their music more or less the same. Sure, it changes with each new album, but you can always tell within seconds "that's Alice in Chains!" I always preferred Jerry's voice, but the two of them together were truly amazing.10 years ago
