That's the true meaning of a poet Zebra2828. He can write it and play it, sing it, and it all makes sense. I lost someone I knew in college who spent a couple of weeks with my roommate who shared my apartment on summer. She was vivacious. These lyrics though are exactly thoughts of people who have had someone very close to them ripped from their lives like on the events on that day.

I like it. Its a great tribute to those that lost their Love on 911. some of these comments are ridiculous.. too literal? silly. Anyhow, one of my fav songs from the album and this video captures the loss. Thanks for making and posting it!

Someone told me that this song was used indirectly as a reference for the struggles involving the aftermath of 911. I could be wrong. Wonderfully deep song, nonetheless!

For me... THIS is a song about the ILLEGAL abduction of my oldest daughter from her dad and little sister... by The FAMILY LAW INDUSTRIALISTS...NO abuse, NO neglect. Just an unfounded accusation by a Parental Alienating ex and a Family Law Industry that preys upon the most vulnerable: Children and Families... Thanks Bruce... @helenevienna The paint job is authentic for the Victorian style, I think a modern main job would flatter such a house.

@rockgod111 it's about how all the 9/11 victims didn't know they were going to die that day..it was just another normal day for them, but they're not coming home. also like how when you come home, everything is the way you left it before you left in the morning...dishes in the sink, computer on, etc. a family who lost their dad met bruce and he wrote this song for them and all the victims.

This song, as well as The Ghost of Tom Joad, are an insight into the overall picture of the state of our country and the world. I believe we need to be praying for our Governmental Leaders to have Divine Wisdom and Leadership to keep us Free. I would like a better place for my children and their children. Mostly, I would like to be able to Love and Hug and Hold and Squeeze the most important person in the world and Never Ever Let Him Go.

this lyric is beautiful and bruce sings it with emotions, it's like he sings it directly to you, as if he talks to you, i can't explain exactly, but it comforts me somehow, it's beautiful
