As raucous, rocking and rolling as a Springsteen concert is----McGuinn's performances are just as moving---in a quieter and jang-ly way. If you ever have the opportunity to see either, GO!

I love both Bruce and The Byrds. The Byrds remain one of the great American bands, and very influential too (hello Tom Petty, REM). Rickenbackers are such beautiful guitars.

Why...? When I want to watch/hear an official release, I prefer the VEVO channels because I know I'll get the full version in high quality. It saves a lot of time that would otherwise be spent sifting through everyone and their brother's crappy ripped-off uploads.

And Bruce bows at the end. He knows... Just like Billy Joel letting Paul McCartney take HIS stage at Shea Stadium. But you have to be careful because sometimes new acts use old acts as a gimmick to give the impression they have done their home work, when in fact the don't really know anything or care about the past. Like the Lady Marmalade stint at the Grammys, girls step aside and let Patti school you. Or how Queen is the new cliche band to site as an influence.

See this is what is lacking from today's music acts. A respect for the past. Even if you don't like the music you should respect the past because without it YOUR MUSIC would not exist period. It from this and it from jazz and blues and being disrespectful is disgusting unto itself but with google and youtube to remain ignorant of our musical legacy is even worse. One reason I don't respect Bieber as an artist is because his hero is Usher. It shows how far he hasn't gone musically.
