Oh how this brings back memories of how good it was. I was and am still a local to Asbury Park, and while a still hard ticket back then, there were so many nights along the northshore of Jersey or anywhere in the state where we could catch this supernova of music. That's not nostalgia on my part here. It was fecking unreal.

Saw him open for Chicago at MSG. First MSG show for him. After final song, which I believe was, "Spirit in the Night", The sold out Garden roared! He obviously could have done an encore, but I think Chicago would have been a little unhappy. Nothing worse than being outdone by the opening act! For some BIZARRE reason, Chicago opened with, "Magical Mystery Tour"(a song by some British band). I clearly remember thinking, "This is stupid, bring back da utter guy"! Merry Christmas!

What an awesome video. I saw Bruce around this time when he was touring and played at my New England college around 1973 or 74. Never heard of him before then but became a lifelong fan. What a superb talent and what a gift this man and his band have given the world in the years since.

What are the four dislikes for, its one of the finest versions I have heard of this song, unless its four dislikes because they dislike the song?Bruce looks good with a beard also....just throwing it out there.....

they call him "one of the most important new artists of the 70s." I wonder if they ever imagined he'd be one of the most influential artists ever. What time is it? IT'S BOSSTIME.

I said, "I'm hurt." She said, "Honey let me heal it". And we danced all night to a soul fairy band, and she kissed me just right like only a lonely angel can. She felt so nice, just as soft as a spirit in the night

Springsteen wrote his first two albums as if he was a teenager experiencing sexual desire and love for rock and roll for the very first time. With time he changed ways and his subsequent classic albums were more "novel-based" and written with a social, moderated-leftist-voter basement. But the fresh material from his first two albums will always remain as pilars for the construction of his legend.
