I've seen him do some blistering solos this tour. Not sure what will happen when they return to Australia in February with Tom Morello (who filled in for Stevie last time in Oz), Stevie, Bruce and Nils all on the stage together.

I think his lead playing is something he could have made more of a centerpiece but just kind of didn't concentrate on so much after Nils joined the band. Check out some earlier versions of "Prove it All Night" on youtube. Surprised me.

Huh....he doesn't claim to be an excellent player (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame speech...credits Nils with being a 1,000 times better) but if you'd ever seen him live, you'd see him ALL OVER the stage, into the crowd, crowd surfing, TOTALLY connecting with his fans, taking sign requests for songs that aren't his, playing almost 4 hours at SIXTY THREE. Not Working? Wow...wonder what your def of work IS?

You know what, people like you just raise my love and appreciation for him. You don't even know what his songs mean for his fans. He can reach the heart of people around the world with his words and chords. Maybe he has never worked a day like all of us, i don't care. He understands other people's feelings and then put them into a song. He has felt pain and depression in his Jersey house, he sings about America from the inside.
