When I was 16, I wrote the lyrics on my school notebook and had them all day, every day, with me. Bruce was my best friend back in these days.

This is one of the great ballads of rock. After listening to it you feel as if you lived this sad story in your own life.

Read carefully. I did NOT hit the dislike button for the video, not even accidentally. Maybe I misphrased my comment - I hit the thumbs down on the comment regarding seeing Springsteen three days in a row...just out of envy, that's all I meant. That's why I made the comment with it. I hope you will see the difference.

And I hit the dislike for the comment about attending that concert not the viedeo - I would never ever in a thousand years dislike for any Springsteen video....my gosh the man is pratically my religion.

How am I a troll? I listen to songs I like and sometimes make comments on them....My comment to Roy Kemp about being jealous of his memory of attending a three day Sprinsgsteen event - I'm sure there are many who feel the same, those of us who never had the oppurtunity to attend such events, maybe envious is a better word, but I didn't mean in a nasty way. I think your comment to me is much nastier.

Darkness is my favorite, too. By far, actually!! And, that was an amazing tour.

During the mid eighties I became a Springsteen fan when I heard Born in The USA, I spent hours listening to that casette, I didn't know about his other songs. Then one night someone one said,' you like Springsteen, listen to this.' They put The River on, when this song started playing, tears began to fall. I could have sworn he was singing about me. I think if I had never heard this, I would have lost interest years a go, but this song started a life long passion.
