i bet you that all artists hate it when white people start to clap out a rhythm....i am sure that it works in a place like "the apollo", but usually when a bunch of civilians start to clap, it is a distraction and a detriment to the vibe.....let's face it....if the people of helsinki were any whiter, they would be clear...but they are good people and solid fans, and they have the sense to shut down their (lack of) rhythm machine, and let "the boss" finish his song....kudos to lord bruce for carrying on throughout that rhythmic melee, and for the audience for being cognizant of their ineptitude, and just letting it go.....

How can you possibly play the guitar properly when you hold it that low? For a start you can forget bar chords. I see hundreds of guitar player do that.

Is there any other performer who comes out and plays for early arrivers? Or whose shows are rountinely 3 hours long, and occassionally close to 4 hours? At the New Year's eve show in 1980 at Nassau they ended at about 1AM; then Bruce came back and played an accoustic set that lasted until a quarter to 3. But a third of the audience refused to leave, so the full band came back and played from 3:20 until 5:30. Then the 500 fans still there were served breakfast at 6:30. Bruce cooked the eggs.

You're very welcome! Helsinki was certainly incredibly special. Glad I was able to capture this and share it - sorry about the shaky camera work ;-)

Thank you so much for this video! This was my request at the concert, and I was so glad he played it. To me this song is about friendship, and it is very important to me and my dear friend who is out there somewhere in the big world.... Seeing this video took my thougths back to that great concert and evening at Helsinki, and to those great feelings I had when enjoying the concert with my wife and kids. Thank you!
