Open letter to +Jerry Jocoy and all US military personnel, current and retired. +Jerry Jocoy, When you describe your pride in serving in the US military, and talking about the second amendment in the same breath, you're conflating two distinctly different things, apparently unconsciously. The second amendment to the constitution of December 15, 1791 relates to a civilian militia separate from a national army, who's purpose is to defend the USA. When you served in the US military, the government owned you and ordered you to act on behalf of US corporate interests. It even insured you against loss. But neither you nor your family were the beneficiaries, the US government was. And to add insult to your injuries, the policy covered total loss, not partial loss. So returning with limbs missing or your head fucked up meant they didn't get to collect. The fact is if you were killed, the US gov made money! Why do you think they put on special flights for coffins? It's a good way to pretend they care, but the fact is the underwriters cover it!If I'm wrong about this, why are vets treated do badly? Why are injured vets hidden from public view?So, serving in the US military is not the same as serving in a civilian militia. The US Army is specifically excluded by law from operating on US soil. And when you served in the Gulf you were obviously not fighting to keep America and Americans safe. You invaded a foreign country: Kuwait, to evict the forces of another country: Iraq, which was host to US oil companies that had been slant drilling into Iraqi oil fields. In the process, tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children were killed by US and allied forces, including the UK. These are simple facts. I have no idea why you seem to believe there's any connection between being a hired killer for corporate interests in the US military, and defending your homeland. +Adam Kokesh demonstrates this dichotomy best when he interviews people outside a cinema screening that piece of flag waving bullshit about the serial child killer Chris Kyle. Let me know when you've watched it bro. I'm not your enemy. Nor are the Iraqis, the Afghanis, the Libyans, the Syrians, the Yemenis, the Iranians or the Russians. Your government is.
