I know it isn't the weekend, but that is +Jürgen Kuri's domain. Here's just a random song for you to enjoy. This song is especially for the people who think Bruce Springsteen is a guy wearing a denim vest and a bandana who shouts a lot and plays powerchords. With all due respect, you have no clue what Bruce is about as an artist and a musician. This is a song written about his dad, from the B side of his '78 album *Darkness on the Edge of Town* (which happens to be my favourite record of his). This version was recorded live without an audience for the special edition of the 30th anniversary version of *Darkness*. It's a beautiful song that should go some way to explain facets of Bruce as a songwriter and singer that most people have no clue exist. Enjoy!

Fabuloso! (There is an excellent 4-part acappella version of this on YT by The Arizona Smoke Revue you might like to try some time.)[Tyneside, England.]

So simple yet says so very much. His lyrics are usually so packed, so extensive, but this just doesn't need it and packs just as much meaning as, say, "Jungleland". "You're Missing" from "The Rising" is like it in the same way...sparse but powerful.

Wow, he really felt it in this version... even though Bruce himself never had to work in that sort of soul-crushing environment, he definitely feels what his dad went through.

i think this song is about all of our dads.. our grandfathers.. songs like this, like many springsteen songs, make you realize how lazy we all are these days.. but this song will always remind me of my dad.. could never say it to him, but ill say it now.. love you dad, thanks..
