July 1988. One year before the fall of the Berlin wall, between 200.000 and 300.000 east-berliners witnessed this historical concert.

Yes, it's a Dylan song. Who cares? Dylan came to East Berlin and gave a sorry concert that in no way compares to the enthusiasm, the passion, and the empathy that Bruce has for the people of East Germany. Springsteen did the song better, and is all around a working class hero, something that Dylan left behind long ago. 11 years ago

Das weiß ich, dennoch hat er sich in seiner Meinung beeinflussen lassen. Ich habe es damals in der DDR gewagt, Erich Honecker als Bürgermeister abzuwerten. Die giftigen Blicke der SED-Futzis waren ein Genuss. Die Verarschung der Grenzer war Pflichtprogramm in Berlin. Mir ist nichts passiert, zumal die anderen nicht SEDler gegrinst haben. Hätte er das Wort Mauer verwendet, wäre nichts passiert. Denk mal an das Lindenberg-Konzert. Er hat auch frei geredet.11 years ago

das wort "mauer" hatte er auch ursprünglich in seiner vorbereiteten "rede". wurde aber kurzfristig geändert, um politische konflikte zu verhindern. damals in der ddr konnte auch ein bruce springsteen nicht einfach sagen, was er wollte bzw. worte, die mehr bedeuten als sie sind. aber es war so wichtig, dass er da war und diese worte sprach.Related Videos
