Good to see this good man creating good vibes on this message board, funny how a person without much conflict doesn't create any.

So what have we got here? A song writer in a black shirt and a pair of jeans. And one shitload of powerful music, great playing, and pure genius. He can reduce a big band song down to just him and a keyboard of 88 notes and a single tone. Don't know about you, but that's all I need. Bruce, you are mighty.

Saw him do this 11/19/90 at the Walnut St. Theater in philly.(a tiny place) Bruce asked that we write requests on paper and pass them to the stage. We butchered the name of this still new song at the time, but he knew which one we meant and plead it beautifully….later in the song as the range was jamming, this tall dude came up from behind us and wanted to get by.. It was Bruce saying hi to the peeps - so cool, i just laughed, said hi and thanked him

He has been part of my life for 28 years. I once drove up the west coast of NewFoundland listening to nothing but his jazz album(Camp Meeting) for 6 days. I will likely never get to see him live but as I drive around for my work (painting landscapes), he will always be in my player. This is one of my favourite songs by BH

I love the intellectual construction of his music. He speaks to everyone in his music.

agreed -this is one of the most beautiful, moving songs ever written throughout the ages. I think Mozart would have loved it.... Bruce is underappreciated (almost in the vein of the band Rush) but not by us!

Does anyone know if Hornsby is ill or has vocal problems? I know he shouted his head off with The Range recordings, but I notice all his new stuff has this muted, gravely sound and he avoids the high notes. Anyone?

If I had a choice between Elton John, Billy Joel & Bruce Hornsby...... it would be Horsby. Wolftrap (D.C), summer concert 1994 was awesome!!!!!!

They just don't make artists like this any more. Sadly, Bruce is of a dying breed. Simply out of this world talent.
