Well, what a turn up for the books! Never heard this one before until the recent repeat run on BBC4. A refreshing change of style and a live performance to boot. Exceeded expectations!

One of the best bands of the 70s......but this was not going to be a hit sadly. A great album song, but not a single.....Ole ole might have done better?

@michaelleacy The song was perhaps not quite strong enough to be a big hit, but they do brilliantly with it, in fact vocally it sounds very much like 'Voulez Vous'-era Abba. 'Oh Boy' is their best track, a fantastic, very sophisticated melody, a moving lyrical story and superb vocal performance. As for this video, the only thing that spoils it is the gooning introduction from Mike Read, it's no wonder Radio One did away with this kind of embarrassing DJ!

@huvander Yes, and they're singing live - absolutely effortless. Say what you like about BOM - but their vocals and harmonies were spot on - and there's very few groups that can manage that!
