You have to remember that Oswald was one of the early dobro players. There have been many players since that are "better" players, but they all are based on the origins and foundations of players like Brother Oswald and Josh Graves. I'm sure Jerry Douglas, for one, would attest to this.

Very nice. Enough with the not as good as Oswald crap too. Oswald copied a lot of his stuff from Hawaiian musicians who were a lot better than him.

A situation like this is just what a "dobro" is designed for,..-NOT for bluegrass! The playing is good enough I think,...-just get the name right,-its OSWALD, and not Oswell!

He is good, but he will never match the real Oswald. Our memories go back to the 40s, and 50s. The real Roy Acuff's brother Oswald had a twang and sorrowful sound that can't be replaced.

Decent job on the Dobro - keep in mind the announcer (who did not even get Oswald's name right) is the one who made the claim of him being as good as Oswald not the player making a self claim, so don't be harsh on the picker!

Brother Oswald would applaud this effort. I enjoyed the tune - so hard to find good dobro instrumentals anymore. I've already saved it as a favorite.
