The conviction in her voice & the way she inturpets the lyrics by telling the story is why I liked her so much. She kept things simple she does not have the big voice where today almost all want to go into vocal olympics & hit a load long note. That does not mean it is better. Like Jewel when she sings she tells a story & it comes from her heart.
