@AcousticTransmission Really? American Idiot is were they dropped their punk style? I love Green Day, but they have always been pop-punk. Ever listened to Warning? That is easily their most pop-sounding album but a mile. And if they ever sold out it was when they released Dookie because that's when they signed to a major label...American Idiot just helped them regain a popularity they once had.

@punkdude999 the fact that anybody could think that's relevant to anything boggles the mind. but i guess you and blink are way too punk to care about that. go ahead and sing about how bad a break up hurts. that totally conveys a message worth listening to. writing about that works sometimes, maybe once or twice a year but nearly every single song for twenty years is obnoxious. but again, you're probably too punk to care.
