One of the smartest video clips around from one of the best "new " to commercial radio bands. The band starts off as a synth pop band and has a girl drummer. Everyone at the school reunion is blinded by their image and do not see who the band really are. At the end of the song the real band emerges from within. It transforms to a fair dinkum Aussie guitar band.The song is an antidote to the techno hits of the present aka Lady Gaga. Again those that can not see the music for what it is are blind. There is no change to the music only the image. The revelation in the song is that guitar bands are back and that people have been blinded by the image and there is no real substance to it.The music is also evocative of Rat Cat in their prime who opened up the doors for a whole new wave of guitar bands in this country. Think Powderfinger and Regurgitator.Great song from a great band. If radio gets behind it, it will be a massive hit. If not it may well be one of the most influential yet unheralded songs this year.Guys great job and well done. The film maker has got the image just right although it would never make it on to Countdown in its prime. Maybe rock around the world on SBS.
