Dedicated to Dave Brockie, this is my favorite GWAR song, musically but especially lyrically. I didn't have a gigantic costume head to wear so I made do with what I had.
I know there's a non-trivial number of folks who take the lyrics a bit too literally, but in my opinion this is a brilliant piece of satire aimed at the warmongers and chickenhawks who are anxious to beat their chests and call for drone strikes, aerial bombings and invasions (not by themselves, of course)...The song is basically saying, "if you're going to play tough, you might as well go all the way" - beautifully summarized by the line, "Come play at war, man // and bring your best toy..." Genius. I'm glad I got to see GWAR live in LA and get soaked in fake blood and jizz. RIP Oderus - also RIP Flattus Maximus, aka Cory Smoot.
