Not really. Conor was never really "a punk". He played in some post-hardcore bands, but that doesn't really make him "a punk". His earliest stuff was fuzz-folk, and he was in an indie-pop early on too. Hes always been all over the place with genres.

@rossmat707 Well it's freaky that when I play this songs on my iPod. Everybody who hears it shouts at me, telling me to turn it down and put some 'normal' (pop music) on. So I guess that in my town people don't listen to the music at all. Just to the radio. And my philosofy, when they don't understand it, they complain about it. And they don't understand usually.. Haha

This was the song that made me listen to Bright Eyes - I ws working overtime in an office on a Saturday morning sometime around 2000 and this was played on Radio 1. I was hooked immediately and it took me the best part of a year to get hold of the album here in the UK. I've been hooked ever since :)
