I always loved this song by Brian Wilson. So, I added some car photos. No copyright violation is intended. I just made this for my own enjoyment and to share with others.

Only like the first part of the song, don't like the happy happy sound it takes on after the first 50 seconds... Ah well, can't have everything I guess.

Better than anything The Beach Boys made from 1976-2012.

Dear Shawn Rosvold: Thank you so much for posting those beautiful cars; all in pristine condition. The French car that begins with the spelling Citr...I can say, but can't spell just now. I rode in one with several of my former co-workers once. The driver took a corner and the car didn't lean in at all. Fantastic. I cannot name all the cars, but (again) they surely are all beautiful.

I first heard this song in Police Academy 4. Is that where everyone else first heard it?.

That demo was uploaded onto YT to accompany a video, search for "Brian Wilson In my Car (Corvette) Part 2" & go to the 3:08 minute mark you will hear it, although you'll have to put up with the background talking noise as well. Theres another great demo up, an Usher-Wilson song called Heavenly Bodies, also recorded in 1986 (just look for Brian Wilson Heavenly Bodies); its mis-labeled as a Sweet Insanity out-take but its absolutely from the Wilson Project, recorded in Usher's home studio.

I'd like to hear that because it's a pretty decent tune underneath all the crappy 80s hi-gloss production. I remember when this came out, presaging the s/t solo album. It was great to hear from BW at that point. Shortly thereafter, I found half a dozen vinyl copies of the Police Academy 4 OST for like 25 cents each and of course bought them all, although oddly, the investment has failed to yield the riches I was certain it would command!

I like the song, but the demo Brian recorded with Gary Usher in '86 is better than the released version. This version is over-produced; it has an annoying synth following Brian's voice the entire record, with too much instrumentation & backing vocals that don't add to the song. Brian's vocal was more much more relaxed on the demo, more limited but effective background vocals and the song overall rocked harder.
